Rescuers in Canada are searching for two workers who went missing on Tuesday (January 29) after a landslide at a quarry swept two trucks and a loader into a gravel pit, authorities said.

A third worker, who was operating the loader, was airlifted out of the pit by helicopter but was not seriously hurt in the morning accident, CBC news reported.

One truck came to rest completely buried by gravel and the other was partially covered. Rescuers had not made contact with the two missing workers, the CBC reported.

The quarry is near l'Epiphanie, some 31 miles (50 kilometers) north of Montreal.
