O for a heart to praise my God - Chris Lawton at Burnham-on-Crouch United Reformed Church, Essex
  • 11 years ago
Me playing the organ at Burnham-on-Crouch United Reformed Church, Essex.

The organ originally used here was also a Compton electrone but the model 347. This was replaced by the present instrument - a 363 model - which was originally built for Maldon Congregational Church. The original bench and speakers from the 347 have been retained and used on this instrument.

For this first video im playing the hymn 'O for a heart to praise my God' to the tune 'Abridge' which I chose after the Essex place of the same name.

Many thanks to the church officials for allowing me the opportunity to play another Compton electrone organ.

NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on dailymotion.
