Fish Oil Hype?

Dr. David Samadi, robotic prostatectomy surgeon, introduces a study of nearly 70,000 patients taking fish oil supplements, known as Omega 3 fatty acid. This essential fatty acid comes from eating the recommended two portions of fish per week. The study found no proof that fish oil supplements reduce risk of heart attack, stroke, or death. There is past evidence that fish oil can help with depression and heart health, but Dr. Samadi encourages patients to work with their physicians to determine whether or not they truly have a deficiency requiring supplements.
