A bulldog from Oklahoma is gaining fans from all over the country. Bella Mae lived through a horrifying confrontation with a porcupine. The owners claim that Bella and their two other dogs were near a pond and apparently got too close to the wild animal on Sunday morning. Bella was injured the most. The encounter with the frightened rodent resulted in Bella receiving emergency veterinary care for 500 quills protruding from her body and face. She had to undergo surgery to remove the quills; some of which were stuck in her mouth. Bella is back home with her loving owners, however she'll remain on medication for some time.

Earlier in July, a kitty from Oregon had its own terrifying tale. The 10-week-old kitty found himself stuck in industrial strength epoxy glue while playing in a parking garage. His legs were stuck together, making walking impossible, so he was taken to an Animal Hospital. It took half a dozen people, over the course of three days to work on the baby cat; workers even called Ace Hardware for suggestions on removing the glue.
