Fifteen dead after violent clashes in Lebanon

Lebanese troops have been restoring order in the city of Tripoli, after 15 people were killed in clashes between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Residents said relative calm returned after soldiers took to the streets.

During the violence the two sides reportedly fired machine-guns and rocket-propelled grenades at each other.
