CGRundertow DR. MARIO 64 for Nintendo 64 Video Game Review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Dr. Mario 64 from Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. This was the third Dr. Mario released for a home console, and in some ways, it was the most ambitious. Dr. Mario 64 had more features and modes than any previous Dr. Mario game. But in other ways, it was also the least ambitious. You have to look at a release like this in context, and in 2001, people expected a lot more than this. Lazy, outdated, decade old rehash...just a handful of the criticisms thrown into Dr. Mario 64's bottle. But looking at the game years later, it's a lot less disappointing than it used to be. Yes, it's basically the same game it had always been, but what else does Dr. Mario need to be? This video review features video gameplay footage of Dr. Mario 64 for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
