Adele was the talk of the Brit Awards, as well as a breathtaking performance she scooped female artist and the coverted best album honour for 21.

"Nothing makes me prouder than winning six Grammys then coming home to win Album of the Year. I'm so, so proud to be British and to be flying our flag."

But the star of the night had her acceptance speech cut short - presumably as the show was over running - prompting Adele to gesture with her middle finger.

That told them!

Ed Sheeran went in nominated for 4 prizes and went home with breakthrough and male solo.

Rihanna's performance of We Found Love went down a storm, and she won the international female award for the second year in a row.

Bruno Mars bagged the male equivalent and joked about his height
