Abstract : I will informally discuss how the Euler number of Calabi-Yau 3-folds (CY) can be constrained due to cosmological inflationary measurements in certain string theory compactification set-ups. The emphasis of the talk will be on the links between seemingly different disciplines rather than in a precise theoretical presentation.
