STORY: Four gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on three Afghanistan-bound NATO fuel supply trucks on Tuesday in the Dasht area of Pakistan's southwestern Baluchistan province, about 120 km (74.5 miles) from the Afghan border, police officials said.
The trucks were set ablaze in the attack and destroyed.
Militants frequently attack NATO convoys passing through Pakistan in a bid to disrupt supplies to Afghanistan, but attacks have intensified since the killing of al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden by U.S. special forces in a secret raid in a Pakistani military town on May 2.
NATO trucks have been set ablaze in the same region in recent days.
Routes through Pakistan were until recently bringing in 40 percent of supplies for NATO forces, with another 40 percent coming through Afghanistan's neighbors in the north and 20 percent by air.
