Heavy rain swept across southwest China's Sichuan Province on Sunday, breaking the 213 National Road.

Local road and transportation departments worked around the clock to repair the damage.

The long line of vehicles waiting to pass at the Laohuzui section has slowed down repair efforts.

Blockages along the highway were cleared on Monday.

The road connects Sichuan, Tibet, Qinghai, and Gansu and has 15,000 vehicles travel on it everyday.

Thunderstorms have caused the worst flood since 1979 in Liujiang town of Hongya County in the province.

The flood has subsided... without any casualties.
