Jackie Taylor & His Orchestra - Highway To Heaven

Although Jackie Taylor's orchestra was quite popular in his day, recorded quite a lot and even played in at least one movie short, strangely enough I couldn't find any information about him. Any additional data are warmly welcomed. The Boswell Sisters however hardly need to be presented, being a very famous vocal trio. They made their first record for in 1925. However, they did not attain national attention until they moved to New York in 1930, making national radio broadcasts. Their records are widely regarded as milestones of vocal jazz. Connee's ingenious reworkings of the melodies and rhythms of popular songs, together with Glenn Miller's hot arrangements, and first rate New York jazz musicians (including The Dorsey Bros, B. Goodman, B. Berigan, F. McGrath, J. Venuti, A. Schutt, E. Lang etc), made these recordings unlike any others. This brilliant one was made in 1930.
