DFAT secretary says China is ‘dogged by insecurity’

Australia’s top diplomat has described the Chinese Government as being “dogged by insecurity” and holding a deeply defensive mindset. In her final week as DFAT Secretary before becoming South Australia’s next Governor, Frances Adamson has addressed the poor relationship between Australia and its largest trading partner. She told the National Press Club that the regime is acting in an increasingly unpredictable way.
