U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross says U.S.-China trade deal "miles and miles" away

U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has downplayed expectations that the U.S. and China would reach a deal to end their trade war anytime soon.
In an interview on CNBC on Thursday, he said both sides were "miles and miles from getting a resolution", adding there were still many complex issues to be ironed out.
Chinese Vice Premier Liu He is scheduled to visit Washington at the end of this month to meet U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said next week's talks will be a crucial test of whether the two sides can come to a trade agreement.
