Being good for goodness sake.

If it is a matter of choice: I would much rather be in the company of someone who is good for goodness sake than to be in the company of someone who is good out of fear of Hell, or, for the rewards of heaven. Which is not say that religious people aren't good. Some are. I simply question one's motive for being good.
