Top presidential aide says Korean Peninsula has improved after South Korea-U.S. summit

A top presidential aide said... the situation on the Korean Peninsula has improved after seventh Seoul-Washington summit,... compared to the aftermath of the failed Hanoi summit.
During his speech at the Korean embassy in the U.K.,... South Korea's Presidential Special Advisor Moon Chung-in ... said the latest summit brought back mechanisms for peace talks on the Korean peninsula.
He expressed optimistism of a breakthrough,... adding that President Trump could also be hoping for his South Korean counterpart... to bring Pyeongyang back to the negotiating table.
The top aide also said... that since Trump is expected to visit Japan around May, a trilateral summit could be held with Seoul and Pyeongyang,... if the North is willing.
Moon stressed that it is important to rebuilt trust between the U.S. and North Korea, beginning from small exchanges,... saying it could eventually lead to a comprehensive agreement on denuclearization.
