India Debates: Twist in Preity Zinta case

In a major twist in the infamous molestation case involving Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia, lawyer of the actress on Monday, June 16 claimed that it was not a molestation or sexual assault case.
Preity Zinta's lawyer claimed that the actress filed the case against the business tycoon under Sec 354 for outraging modesty of a woman. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police gave one week time to the actress to record her statement.
According to media reports, there were no eye witnesses who came up to support Preity statements against Ness.
Police officials asked Preity to name the witnesses who were present at the Wankhede stadium on May 30 during an IPL match between Kings' XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.
