IOA meet to discuss row over Dow sponsorship

The anger over the sponsorship of the London Olympics by a tainted company like Dow is boiling over in the Indian Olympic Association as well. Today, the General Body Meeting of the Indian Olympic Association is to deliberate over the controversial Dow Chemicals issue. IOA's acting president VK Malhotra has written to the IOC, demanding the company to be removed from being one of the sponsors of the 2012 London Games. Dow now owns Union Carbide, which had killed thousands in the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.
