Aviation crisis: Airlines chiefs to meet PM

Airline company heads are meeting the prime minister today to discuss steps to overcome the crisis facing them .On the discussions table at the conclave is the proposal to allow 26 PERCENT FDI in domestic airlines and also the prohibitive high rates of tax on aviation fuel and operations .The proposed conclave comes after the Prime Minister called all the heads of the airlines for a discussion. The government is also trying to cobble together measure to help the cash-strapped carriers and resolve other industry issues.
