During the Lok Sabha debate on the no-confidence motion against the Modi government on Friday, home minister Rajnath Singh said the 1984 anti-Sikh riots were the biggest mob lynching in India.
Rajnath cited the 1984 anti-Sikh riots after Congress leader KC Venugopal expressed regret over the government’s silence on incidents of mob lynching.
On the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the home minister said the government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and assured that the Sikh community would get justice.
