विपक्ष ने चीफ जस्टिस ऑफ इण्डिया के खिलाफ सदन में महाभियोग प्रस्ताव लाया था , जिसे राज्य सभा के सभापति और उपराष्ट्रपति वेंकैया नायडू द्वारा खारिज कर दिया गया । खारिज होने के बाद कांग्रेस इसके विरोध में सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अपील करने वाली है लेकिन, इस मामले में काफी पेच फंसा हुआ है। अगर ये मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जाता है तो इस पर सुनवाई कौन करेगा ।
