Keystone Pipeline Leak In South Dakota Was Almost Twice As Much As Originally Reported
  • 6 years ago
On November 16th the Keystone pipeline had a leak in South Dakota. At that time it was estimated that 5,000 barrels leaked. Now officials are saying that 9,700 barrels of oil leaked. This makes it one of the largest U.S. inland spills since 2010. This leak has helped encourage environmental groups to keep fighting against these pipelines. In particular groups have been fighting against Keystone XL, a pipeline proposed by the same company.
