Within this video, I am narrating extracts from the 2007 Hiroshima ‘Peace Declaration’.
I have included images from the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki… the Chernobyl Disaster… the War in Iraq… and Cities of countries that are in possession of Nuclear Weapons.
My hope is that this video will encourage the International Community to demand the disarming of each of the tens of thousands of Nuclear Weapons that threaten the future of our children and our planet !
Irrespective of which country we may have been born in, we are all members of the Family of Man… and our future is dependent on our ability to settle any differences we may have, in a peaceful manner that does not contribute toward the loss of innocent lives or the destruction of our planet.
Countries in possession of Nuclear Weapons, represent a major threat to our continued existence… and unless we wish to continue on the path of self-destruction, it is imperative that we unite in our demands for all such weapons to be disarmed… and that every action be taken to ensure that no country attempts to manufacture such weapons in the future.
Our ‘priorities’ should be aimed toward looking after and helping each other… rather than attempting to kill each other… and at a time when we continue to have people living in poverty, it is ridiculous for such huge amounts of money to be spent on the waging of war.
None of us had any say in where we were to be born, or who our parents were going to be. It is an absolute disgrace therefore, if we look down upon our fellow man, for reasons of race, colour or creed !
In relation to Warring Nations… it is important to remember, that it was only ‘our birth’ that prevented us from being on the other side !!!
