Sauna accident: Mother and daughter die from extreme heat after getting locked in sauna

PRAGUE — A mother and daughter pair, aged 65 and 45 respectively, died on Sunday while using a friend’s sauna in the town of Jicin, in the Czech republic.
According to an AFP report in the Guardian, the sauna door handle was broken and the pair couldn’t get out. They reportedly tried breaking the door’s window but weren’t strong enough.
The sauna’s owner reportedly found their bodies after some 90 minutes. Emergency responders declared the women dead at the scene.
