Call of Duty gamer PHiZZURP dies in horrific Colorado car crash

AURORA, COLORADO — Hours after concluding his final live stream, pro-gamer Phillip Klemenov was gone — dead from the same terrible accident that also took the life of his best friend.
The Denver Post reports that the gamer, known online as PHiZZURP, died in an early morning car crash in Aurora, Colorado on Sunday. Klemenov reportedly lost control of the black Infiniti he was driving, which caused the vehicle to flip over and crash into a light pole and several trees.
The sole survivor of the crash was girlfriend Adrianna Lemus, who took to Twitter to recount what happened. According to Lemus, she, Klemenov, and his best friend Marcelo had left a downtown nightclub in the Infiniti, and were minutes away from home when the accident occurred.
Klemenov’s best friend Marcelo died at the scene. Lemus, the only conscious passenger, managed to crawl out of the car, and attempted to pull the gamer’s unconscious body from the wreckage. He was brought to the hospital in critical condition, and later died.
She claims the gamer had been completely sober, though investigators believe alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in the accident.
