Fresh off the boat from Wales, Catfish and the Bottlemen have made quite a splash in the U.S. indie scene. Led by singer Van McCann the boys have already played big name festivals like T in the Park, Reading & Leeds and the Governor’s Ball in New York. With their punky riffs and McCann’s strong vocals the Bottlemen were destined to be the next big fish in an equally big pond. Their second single from their debut album The Balcony is “Cocoon.” The song centers on a drunken adventure with a girl McCann fancies. It’s an expletive-filled love song for the modern age.
