A 51-year-old bus driver died after saving a 10-year-old girl from a runaway school bus in Akron Ohio.

The driver, Laura Zborowski, was performing a school bus safety drill with a teacher and children from Middlebury Academy. The last child was afraid and hesitated to jump, when at that same moment the bus began rolling backwards down the steep hill.

The girl jumped, and Zborowski pushed her to safety. She then tried to board the bus to stop it, but was dragged underneath it instead.

An internal investigation will be conducted by the transport company to see if the brakes failed or if the bus was improperly parked and secured.
