Peruvian Book Raises Public Awareness on Domestic Violence
  • 9 years ago
A new book recently released by the women's rights group Vida Mujer entitled "Do Not Die For Me" has focused public attention on the issue of domestic violence. The book contains love letters written by men asking their wives or partners for forgiveness and when the book is turned around, it tells what happened afterward to the women. The two-fold way of presenting the individual histories reflects many women's ambiguity and confusion on how to deal with domestic violence in their own lives. Vida Mujer attends to provides an array of services for battered women. Rael Mora reports from Lima. teleSUR
