Actor Ben Woolf, known for his roles on television show “American Horror Story” died on Monday after being struck by a car in Hollywood last week, according to a New York Times report.

Woolf, who played the character Meep on the popular FX horror anthology series and was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at a young age, was clipped on the head by a passing SUV’s side-view mirror while allegedly jaywalking near Hollywood Boulevard last Thursday.

The perpetrator remained on the scene and wasn’t charged with any crimes, according to local reports citing a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

The 4-foot-4 actor, however, was hospitalized in critical condition and died of a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 3:20 p.m. on Monday.

In addition to his work on the Emmy-nominated show, the 34-year-old, also worked as a preschool teacher.

In a recent interview, he spoke candidly about the difficulties he faced living with dwarfism.

“People sometimes don’t give me the value that I deserve, but I learned to ignore it and do what I can do to the best of my ability,” he said in January in a video released by the show.

Family members, who say they’re touched by the outpouring and love and support following the tragic accident, are planning to host a memorial service in Santa Barbara.
