Ram-raid caught on video as jewelry thieves drive car through shopping mall in Canberra, Australia

Police in Australia have made public dramatic security camera video of a ram-raid burglary in the northern suburbs of Canberra, Australia. This is the second brazen ram-rad in the area in as many days.

On the morning of March 30th, a white Subaru Liberty drove through the doors of the Kippax Fair shopping mall in Gungahlin. The thieves drove through the hallway of the mall, before crashing their car into the doors of a jewellery store. The driver of the vehicle executed a three-point turn and backed the car into the storefront several times before two hooded men got out to rob the place.

The security camera inside the store captured footage of the thieves using crowbars to break glass display cases and steal all the jewellery they could carry. After the robbery, they escaped in the same car used to break into the mall, driving out through the door they crashed into to enter the mall.

Authorities in Canberra have yet to identify the car, or the thieves who made off with goods of an undisclosed value. Another ram-raid incident involving a different car was reported the next day in another closeby suburban shopping mall.
