The graceful and majestic manta rays off the coast of Mozambique are being threatened by overfishing and the growing demand for their gill rakers for use in Chinese medicine. Marine biologist Andrea Marshall has been conducting research in the area and created the Marine Megafauna Foundation to lobby for the establishment of a marine protected area.
