Legendary singer Joe Cocker has died at age 70 after a long battle with lung cancer, Sony Music said in a statement Monday. Cocker rose to fame in the 1960s and recorded 40 albums while touring into his 60s. The song also was also the theme for the wildly-popular television series "The Wonder Years." Some of his other hits include 'You Are So Beautiful', 'Up Where We Belong' and his cover of the Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends" reached number one in the UK in 1968. The Sheffield, England native had a No. 1 album in Germany last year and performed in concert for the final time in Hammersmith, London, in June, the BBC reported.
