While speaking at the launch of the 'Pamela Anderson Foundation' in Cannes, France, Pamela Anderson shared that she was gang raped in high school.
Pamela Anderson recently opened up about her childhood and some of the details are anything but pleasant.
While speaking at the launch of the 'Pamela Anderson Foundation' in Cannes, France, she revealed that was molested between the ages of 6 and 10 by a female babysitter.
She went on, sharing that she was also raped at the age of 12 by the 25-year-old brother of one of her friend’s boyfriends.
Furtermore, Anderson mentioned that in another incident, her own boyfriend recruited his companions for a horrific act.
In her own words, “My first boyfriend in grade nine decided it would be funny to gang-rape me, with six of his friends. Needless to say, I had a hard time trusting humans. I just wanted off this earth. I wasn’t sure why I was alive.”
46-year-old Anderson described her parents as ‘loving’ but she also said that her mother worked two jobs and her dad was an alcoholic, so in an effort to shield her mom from the pain, she kept the brutal occurrences to herself.
Given that the speech was so emotional and attention grabbing, she later released an explanatory Tweet to her fans that noted “I want people to know - they can overcome and prosper with love."
