An unbelievable list of musicians accompanied Annette on her favorite song~Jimmy Dorsey, Alto Sax; Benny Goodman, Clarinet; Joe Venuti, violin; Eddie Lang, Guitar (Annette's favorite musician who she called a real gentleman); Phil Napolean, Trumpet; Jack Teagarden, Trombone; and Rube Bloom, piano. I cannot find another singer that ever had such an amazing line up of musicians accompanying them on a side. Annette sang a shortened version of her favorite in her only appearance in a film; a short 1:41 clip from Cap'n Henry's Showboat in 1933. It became her signature song.
