Man Stuck in Storm Drain for 2 Days After Chasing $20 Bill

A man in Lawton, Oklahoma, who decided to go underground after dropping a $20 bill down a storm drain, is thankful to be alive after he got stuck.

Cell phones, money and any other small personal item can easily fall down a storm drain. A man in Lawton, Oklahoma, who decided to go underground after dropping a $20 bill down a storm drain, is thankful to be alive after he got stuck.

The unidentified man become disoriented and for two days, was lost in the water drainage system.

Eventually, a group of students who were walking home from school heard a voice coming from the manhole. Once the high school kids realized there was a person underground requiring assistance, they called 911.

First responders quickly arrived at the scene. The manhole was immediately removed and revealed the man alive, but not in the best condition. He was reportedly dehydrated and had no clue what day it was or how long he had been in the drainage system.

He also had a bump on his head, but the extent of his injuries has not yet been released. The male did tell police he dropped a $20 bill down the drain and in his words, ‘he had no choice’ but to crawl in after it.

The man is certainly fortunate to be alive, but the $20 he desperately went after was never found.
