No other animal has a bond with humans like dogs. Recently, three people in Laurel, Maryland were injured after frantically trying to save their dog from a house fire.

When Prince George’s County firefighters arrived at the home located on Haynes Road, the three residents were still inside. They were alive but suffered heavy smoke and heat exposure.

Sadly, they were not successful in saving the dog. Said Mark Brady, a spokesperson at the fire department “It appears that some of the exposure may have occurred in attempts to rescue their dog that, unfortunately, perished in the fire.”

The investigation is still underway, but the fire is believed to be accidental. The female resident was transported to a Burn Unit while the two men were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. All three are reportedly in good condition.
