Scioto Riverfront Park construction begins in Columbus Ohio

https://www.youtube.com/CyclingExplorerTV - Massive changes are officially underway to the Scioto River through Downtown Columbus. Demolition began with some intensity at Battelle Riverfront Park where fountains and concrete were removed, trees have been cut and uprooted, and the Santa Maria is being prepped for relocation further upstream.
The entire construction process is expected to take two years, which includes the removal of the Main Street Dam, the narrowing of the Scioto River, and the construction of 33 new acres of Downtown park space with bike paths, trees and natural vegetation. In addition, directly across the river, they are proposing to bring a Columbus Zoo animal attraction to the riverfront.
