Coen Brothers hit London Film Festival

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: Directors the Coen brothers joined cast members including Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac on the red carpet for the London Film Festival's UK premiere of Inside Llewyn Davis, a drama focusing on the folk music scene in 1960s Greenwich Village in New York. Told through the lens of its protagonist Llewyn, played by Isaac, the movie retains all the quick repartee and quirkiness of classic Coen brothers films such as Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? and Barton Fink, for which the pair won Cannes' top prize, the Palme d'Or in 1991. Isaac said that the film's thrust was about the character that people tend not to hear about - the person that doesn't shoot for the stars and find fame - in this case instead pointing at a person that may have suffered in order for others, perhaps such as Bob Dylan, to succeed.
