The Coen brothers and John Goodman hit the red carpet for a screening of their new film "Inside Llewyn Davis" in Hollywood on Thursday (November 14).

Goodman plays a dysfunctional jazz musician who shares a car ride and good conversation with the main character.

John Goodman, "Inside Llewyn Davis" co-star, saying (English):

"We're not quite sure what he plays, I think he's a piano player and I think Joel thought he was a sax player and Ethan thought he was a trumpet player but yeah, he's on the road quite a bit touring with pickup bands and he's got side interests that are very destructive."

The movie centers on an aspiring folk singer as he struggles to make it during the 1960s music scene in Greenwich Village, paying tribute to artists living hand to mouth in New York City, and who might have paved the way for musicians like Bob Dylan to succeed.

"Inside Llewyn Davis" releases in U.S. theaters on December 20.
