A once heartbroken 63-year-old LEGO fanatic is finally getting his wish. Recently, John St-Onge visited the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Toronto, which is located several hours away from his home.

After making the long journey by car with his adult daughter, St-Onge was denied admission because he did not have a child with him. Father and daughter went home devastated, as St-Onge is riddled with health problems and his only dream was to tour LEGOLAND.

Once the story was made public, web users expressed anger concerning the attraction’s rule which states no adult can enter without an accompanying child. It may be in part to bad publicity, but LEGOLAND had a change of heart.

The park recently offered St-Onge and his daughter, Nicole payment for their expenses and an invitation to return. The company will pay for their dinner and gas. The pair will also receive complimentary passes to an adults only LEGO night.

Although the LEGOLAND child rule hasn’t changed since the incident, the company has apologized for the confusion. St-Onge and his daughter will reportedly accept the offer.
