The end
The end finally came for Lux. It was an unremarkable day, a grey November day with a drizzle that threatened to turn into snow. She had been feeling a bit down lately, but she put on her happy face and went about her business as usual. But then, sometime in the late afternoon, she just couldn't go on anymore. She went to the bathroom and vomited up what little food she had eaten that morning. Afterwards, she lay down on the bathroom floor and closed her eyes. Shortly after that, Lux passed away, peacefully in her own sleep.
