"Godzilla" is crushing the competition at the box office, bringing in an estimated $93.2 in U.S. and Canadian ticket sales.
It's a remake of the original 1954 Japanese "Godzilla" movie about a giant lizard, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as a naval officer who battles the reawakened monster.
And second-place at the box office was last weekend's lead, the adult comedy "Neighbors," with $26 million, according to studio estimates.
It stars Seth Rogen, who moves in next to a fraternity house and clashes with the fraternity house president, played by Zac Efron.
Third in the mix was superhero sequel "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" pulling in $16.8 million.
