An angry mob set ablaze a police chowki and police jeep in Gazipur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday (April 29), after a man allegedly died due to police torture. Ghanshyam was picked by police on April 26 in connection with a kidnapping case. He was brought to the Jangipur police chowki, where he mercilessly beaten. Later on, he was admitted to a hospital in serious condition. His death this morning sparked angry protests. The mob blocked the road demanding action against the policemen.
