A piece of landing gear thought to be from one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 has been discovered in lower Manhattan.
Police say construction workers found the debris wedged between two buildings about one storey above ground. It measures about five feet high and 3 feet wide.
The debris contains a clearly visible Boeing id number, police said.
The discovery comes nearly 12 years after the 9/11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
