How to use Map Scale in Maps?

This video teaches how map scale is used for measuring distance between two different places on a map. It also tells about the cartography.
In this Video: JC and his grandpa have come to the Mathaus Museum of Maps. JC is looking at the different maps when he notices a big map of India, with horizontal and vertical grids. Near the map, is a big portrait of Mathaus Mortier. JC uses his gizmo to talk to him. Mathaus introduces himself as a cartographer and explains to JC how maps are drawn using scales. He also teaches him how map scales can be used to find the area of a place, as well as the distance between two places.
