He's been behind the music of Sinatra and Michael Jackson.

But for once Quincy Jones was the focus of attention as A-listers paid tribute to him on his 80th birthday.

U2 frontman Bono and Jennifer Hudson were among those singing the praises and the songs of the legendary music producer.

And he wasn't the only one celebrating.

Actor Michael Caine was sharing his own 80th birthday party.

The party at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas also saw Stevie Wonder and Whoopie Goldberg join the octogenarians on stage to sing "We Are The World" which was written by Jones.

Funds raised from the gala will go to help in the fight against Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
