Pooja Gaitonde will be giving her first solo performance at Ravindra Natya Mandir on 19th April. Also her ghazal album Katra Katra Dariya Dariya will be released on the same occasion. With a sound foothold in traditional knowledge of Raagdari, Pooja's Ghazal compositions leave an indelible impression due to the energy that emanates from her constant search for true and living expressions. She was indeed fortunate to have honed classical vocal under the tutelage of Late Pandit S.C.R. Bhat. one of the greatest classical vocal virtuoso of Agra Gharana and also from his disciples Shri Raja Upasani and Smt. Suniti Gangoli.Pooja is groomed in light classical by Shri Vikas Bhatwadekar, Smt. Dhanashri Pandit Rai, Late Shri Lalji Desai,Shri Santosh Kudva,Swami Chaitanya Swaroopji of Shree Vallabh Sangeet Vidyalaya, Sion, Mumbai and Ustad Rajkumar Rizvi who belongs to Kalavant Gharana of Rajasthan from where Ustad Mehdi Hassan Khan belongs to the same gharana. Pooja also took guidance from renowned singer Talat Aziz and Kuldeep Singh
