Private daily newspapers re-emerge in Myanmar after nearly 50 years

It looks low budget.
But this is some of the first daily news published in Myanmar in nearly 50 years that ISN'T produced by the government.
On Monday, four PRIVATE daily newspapers were allowed to start publication in the former Burma, where a military dictatorship once had a stranglehold on press freedoms.
The move is part of democracy reforms started last year.
Kyaw San Minn is editor-in-charge one of the four new private dailies.

"This is a U-turn of our media sector and it's really great. But there will be a lot of changes and barriers that we can't anticipate in the future. The difficulty at present is the response of the ministries. As they don't answer the things we want to confirm in a timely way, we can't balance the news and we have to publish what we have."
