Caught on amateur video, water pours through an underpass in the Mauritian capital, Port Luis.

At least 10 people were killed here in flash flooding on Saturday.

Most of the victims were trapped in the underpass, which leads to one of the city's commercial hubs.

Port Louis saw torrential downpours over the weekend, with 152 mm falling in just two hours.

Monday was declared a day of national mourning.

Weather forecasters said more showers were expected, with isolated thunderstorms that could cause further flooding.
