An intruder was reportedly killed by alert Indian troops in Nowshera tehsil in the district. Identified as Mohammad Maqsood, a resident of Nali village of Bhimber district in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, allegedly tried to enter the Indian Territory from the Pokhra border post in the Kalal area about 4.30pm on Sunday. Last month a Pakistani soldier was killed in the same area.
