French military released video on Monday (March 25) of French troop deployment in Central African Republic to secure the airport of the capital Bangui.

France, which already had 250 soldiers in Central African Republic, has sent another 300 troops from Gabon since Friday to ensure the security of French citizens and diplomatic installations in Bangui, according to the defense ministry.

The airport was now secure, a diplomatic source said on Sunday, adding that for the time being there was nothing to be worried about with no direct immediate threat to French citizens in the country.

Rebels in Central African Republic seized the riverside capital Bangui in fierce fighting on Sunday, forcing President Francois Bozize to flee.
